How we build
A studio,
not an agency.
ErtanWorks is run by the people who build the products. No layered managers, no design-by-deck, no gap between who decides and who ships. The person who designs it writes the code and runs it in production.
Principles
Four things we won't compromise.
- 01 — Small & senior
- 02 — Deliberate
- 03 — We own the stack
- 04 — Long horizon
No layered hand-offs.
The people who design the work build it and run it. No account managers, no design-by-deck, no handoff cliffs. The engineer who scopes a feature is the one who ships it.
One thing, made well.
We ship one well-made product at a time. Anything that doesn't earn its place gets cut — a smaller thing that's right beats a bloated one that's late.
No rented platforms.
We run what we build, end to end — our own infrastructure, open formats, boring dependable tech. No proprietary runtimes we can't walk away from.
Built to last.
We pick technology that ages well, and ship products meant to be used for years — not subscribed to and quietly sunset.
And what we don't
Saying no
is part of it.
- ×
Engagement-metric design. We don't tune products around analytics the user never asked for.
- ×
Microtransactions & live-service. Our games are single-player and finishable — not a subscription.
- ×
Dark patterns. No growth-hacking, no tricks to inflate a number on a dashboard.
- ×
Hype-stack chasing. If a tool is six months old we'll wait. Boring, proven tech is good.
- ×
Shipping to a date. We announce a product when it's worth your time — not to hit a quarter.
